About

The Full Story

During my time in Home Economics, I learned the art of sewing. We not only learned the basics but also had the chance to create our own clothing, which was both challenging and rewarding. This hands-on experience ignited my passion for quilting and creativity. I made my first quilt in my teens; it was a crazy quilt sewn entirely by hand. Coming from a long line of quilters, I learned how to make quilts as a teenager. My first quilts were either tied or hand-quilted, and it wasn't until recently that I learned how to machine quilt. I took a long break from sewing and quilting for many years, and when I returned to the world of quilting, I was blown away! There were so many beautiful fabrics in bold and bright colors and the stunning prints created by designers, along with all the supplies that made the process easier and more enjoyable. Four years ago, I launched an online shop, selling online and at quilt shows and then last year in January I opened my cozy, little shop in Historic Downtown Hillsborough, NC. J Leslie Moyer, owner
